Position Summary

This position is responsible with providing data services for the collection, analysis and reporting of data related to assigned project. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university and two years’ experience in data management position or Tribal, non-profit and/or public health service experience is a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must be able to be insurable by the Tribe’s Driving Policy.

  • Preference given to qualified Washoe Tribal Members and American Indians.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Engage in community outreach.

  • Prepare and conduct meetings and presentations, effectively.

  • Co-develop and implement a data system (collection and reporting).

  • Utilize and train others on cultural and evidenced-based instruments and techniques.

  • Co-develop and implement a data monitoring system (routine analysis on project process and outcome data).

  • Facilitate cultural-based information gathering and sharing sessions.

  • Facilitate cultural-based information and gathering sessions with professionals, partners and the public.

  • Represent the Health Center in a positive manner with tribal members and professionals

  • Provide routine analysis and progress updates regarding project process and outcome data with Health Clinical and Prevention Teams, community members and other involved agencies.

  • Seek training and knowledge in data management to remain current with professional standards.

  • Conduct reviews of project data related documents, data files, published information and official reports for presentation with Health Clinical and Prevention Teams, community members and other involved agencies.

  • Adhere to all healthcare standards as related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

  • Performs other duties as assigned for the position.

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications

Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to operate a motor vehicle, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment
  • Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
