Position Summary
Under general direction, manages WDC IT Operations. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing IT systems and IT operational activities. The IT Operations Manager will oversee the strategic planning, procurement, implementation, security, protocols, and management of Information Technology solutions in use by WDC and the enterprise subsidiaries, and the IT operational activities associated with them. WDC team members must uphold the highest standards of accountability, integrity and professionalism.Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or IT related field (or can substitute 5 years management working experience)
PLUS 2 years’ experience in IT Management, with oversight of at least 3 Team Members (combined management work experience of 7 years)
Must possess and maintain a valid California/Nevada driver’s license - (OR) obtain one within 30 days of employment
Must meet standards required for Insurance of company vehicles
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
Must successfully meet standards for a background investigation.
Preference is to Qualified Native American Indians.

The IT Operations Manager position requires a strategic and forward thinking leader to support the WDC. Design and implement new process and facilitate user adoption. Maintain and secure company systems and data. Create opportunities for business growth to support budgets and revenue targets.
Duties: The IT Operations Manager is an upper management position that will report directly to the WDC President. Create strong working relationships with all business leadership teams. The IT Operations Manager position requires a strategic and forward thinking leader to support the WDC. Design and implement new process and facilitate user adoption. Maintain and secure company systems and data. Create opportunities for business growth to support budgets and revenue targets.
Administrative: Excellent written and verbal communication with team members is imperative. Responding to emails in a timely manner, returning telephone communication, and meeting deadlines for report submission. Review vendor proposals and IT technical contracts. Ensure and verify technical licenses for IT operations are valid and current. Monitor and respond to helpdesk requests. Collaborate with Cyber Security partners, and provide monthly activity reports addressing backup, replication, business continuity and disaster mitigation and response.
Financial: Review, approve and verify invoices and check requests, for IT related expenses and monthly accounts. Monitor functionality of POS systems for retail enterprises, ensuring back-end communication with Accounting/Financial team. Provide monthly expense reports.
Development: Seek robust cloud-based solutions, advanced Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, continuously enhancing automation to minimize manual tasks. Stay informed of local, state and federal legislation that is pertinent to IT and Tribal businesses, and recognize when deadlines are due for available Grants. Provide support with project management principles and practices. Develop, implement, operate and enforce WDC IT standards, policies and procedures.
Workforce: Ability to handle changing priorities, deal with ambiguity and use good judgement in stressful situations. Willingness to work alongside team members with clear explanations to provide support of technical understanding. Create succession-planning programs to support Team Member growth. Report and recommend disciplinary action when appropriate. Schedule required training to ensure compliance and ensure necessary certifications and relevant trainings are current.
